TechnoHacks is Skyline High School's primiere invention marathon designed to provide middle and high school students from the Issaquah School District an opportunity to learn professional coding and business skills (that they don't teach you in school!), create impactful projects, and win cool prizes.
TechnoHacks will be held at Meadow Shelter at Lake Sammamish on March 30, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The theme is sustainability. Students will create projects addressing one of the United Nation's 17 Sustainability Goals to contribute to a better world for everyone.
Requirements
What to Build
Ideate and build a mobile app, or a solution to one of the UN's 17 Sustainability Goals that could be feasibly turned into an app in the future. No coding is necessary—we have different prize tracks for those who choose to code and those who don't.
What to Submit
You will submit a write-up of how development went, talking about ideation, the challenges you faced, aspects of your final project that you are proud of, and anything else you want to mention about your app or idea.
Pitching will take place live, so no video submission is required. We will teach you exactly what to mention in your pitch, so don't worry! Always feel free to reach out with any questions you have while working.
